Mechanic- Macon, IL

Full-time, hourly, 1st shift position.

Preference will be given to candidates with diesel mechanic and gas engine experience and/or education. Full time colleagues are eligible for paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary vocational education or 3 or more years’ experience strongly preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Operate a laptop computer.
• Meet minimum tool requirement list.
• Must possess a wellness to learn.
• Must be able to fill out basic paperwork.

Job Requirements

• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and mowers.
• Perform minor repairs such as but not limited to: lights, component replacement (starter, alternator, belts, wheel seals, product pump, and seals).
• Minor/Major tune-up.
• Sharpen Blades and clean decks.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting.
• Pressure test hydraulic systems and hose replacement.
• Electrical testing.
• Set up new tractors and equipment.
• Maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Conduct all tasks with a positive attitude.
• Maintains good housekeeping and self-management.
• Must be willing to attend service school.
